Administrative Support Team:
The value of the administrative support team is to provide the "behind the scenes" support that will be necessary in allowing the other teams to focus on their areas of expertise while serving at maximum efficiency. This team is really the "glue" that holds all the aspects of a successful campaign together. The team will have a good working knowledge of all critical "due dates" for material preparation and will ensure that all pieces are distributed in a timely manner.
Communication Team
The value of the communications team is to assist in "passing on" the vision of the church using a variety of effective tools. The team is generally smaller in size and more technically skilled, e.g., people with a background in writing, editing, print design/layout, videography, photography, etc. are excellent candidates for the communications team. The ministry of this team is crucial to the overall success of the celebration event.
Celebration Event Team
The celebration event is the culmination of all the work, prayer, preparation, and vision-casting that has occurred throughout the campaign as the vision of the church has been communicated.
The underlying value of the celebration event is to assist in creating an environment in which the entire church can:
• celebrate the goodness and faithfulness of God in bringing the church to its current position
• understand how God is preparing and leading the church for future ministry
• respond obediently to His leading by giving sacrificially in support of the church's vision.
The celebration event is, without a doubt, the most inspirational and influential event in the entire stewardship campaign.
Host / Hostess Team
The value of the host-hostess team is to obtain the greatest possible attendance support from the church at the celebration event and make certain that all guests feel "at home" once they arrive. The ministry of the host-hostess team is crucial to the overall success of the celebration event.
Leadership Event Team
The leadership event team help facilitate this mission by creating an environment in which church leaders can "set the pace" for the congregation as they lead in prayer, lead in support of the vision, lead in attending the celebration event, and lead the way in giving.
Personal Contact Team
The ministry of the personal contact team is instrumental in communicating and transferring ownership of the vision on a church-wide level. A significant value of personal contact at Grace Fellowship Church, is to involve the people of the church in communicating the vision, "telling the Grace Fellowship Church story" and praying for/encouraging their peers. Regular church attenders expect staff members and church leaders to "own" the vision and be supportive of plans for the future. It makes a different statement, however, when church members are involved in a ministry of carrying the vision of the church as they reach out to others in love. When the people of Grace see a personal contact team that is enthusiastic about the church's vision and ministry, it helps to build excitement among the entire church. Personal contact has a clearly defined purpose: to pray with, to encourage and to provide information to those in the Grace family. Personal contact is not an effort to coerce or manipulate people, rather it is about genuine ministry. To keep the purpose simple and clearly understood among those participating on the team, think of personal contact as "PIE" - prayer, information, and encouragement.
Prayer Support Team
The value of the prayer support team is to assist in creating an environment in which the entire church can be involved in prayer for the capital growth campaign, the vision of the church, the needs of the ministry, and the needs of those within the church. To be effective and inclusive, prayer involvement will be offered at four levels within the church; congregational, large group, family, and individual.
Follow Up Team
The follow up team will work to share the vision of the campaign with those who come to be a part of Grace in the three years that the campaign is happening. This team will be working together following the end of the campaign in June.
