How Do These Promises Comfort, Encourage & Challenge You?

No video this week! Life group tonight isn’t a list of questions like usual. Instead, tonight you will read 10 different promises found in scripture, and ask yourself these questions as you read through them:

1. What is the promise in these verses?

2. How does this promise comfort, encourage, or challenge you?

3. Talk about some ways you have seen this promise play out in your own life.

4. How should you live differently knowing that this is a promise of God over your life?

Remember as you’re studying through these that the entire bible is one story pointing to Jesus. The 8,000+ promises in the bible have overlap that you get to walk confidently in as a follower of Christ. As you discuss all 10 of these promises, remember that some will overlap in your discussion. Feel free to refer to back to other promises as you discuss.

Also, keep in mind 2 Corinthians 1:20 as the answer to all of God’s promises and not to take that out of context as Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 4:2.
