Mark 9 & 10

Discussion Questions:
1) Read through Mark 9 & 10 as a group. What are some things that stood out as you read?

2) Kaleb focused on Mark 9:42-50. This passage talks about how we see and deal with the sin in our lives. Do you think that you take a light approach to sin in your life or an intentional approach? And why would you say that you deal with your sin in that way?

3) You won’t fully deal with your sin correctly until you fully surrender every area of your life to Christ. Do you find it difficult to surrender any areas of your life to Christ? Why or why not?

4) Kaleb said that fully dealing with our sin is choosing to “flee” from temptation not “flirt” with temptation in our lives. In what area of your life do you find it most difficult to flee from temptation? How can we as a group help you in this area of life?

(Side note for leaders: some areas of temptation include: putting ourselves in vulnerable positions with the opposite sex (trips staying together, late nights alone, etc.), not putting guards up and slipping into watching pornography, outing ourselves in the position to drink when that’s a struggle, lying to get out of something, cheating to get ahead, gossiping and always needing to know the tea...)

5) We don’t want to ignore the reality of what is happening in the world around us with coronavirus. It’s so important that we steward seasons like this well so that we can soak up everything God is looking to do with them in our lives!
What would you say God is teaching you in this season? Have you taken the time to lean into his word and find out what he’s trying to say? How can we help one another steward this tough season well so we can get the most out of it?
