1. What is a moment in your life where you had to take a stand — even when it felt risky or unpopular to those around you?

2. Read 1 Kings 18:1-16 together. What stands out as you read through the passage? 

3. Talk about Obadiah. What stands out to you about him and his responses in this passage? Obadiah is both faithful and afraid — do you think fear disqualifies faith? Why or why not?

4. Faithfulness is being quiet, consistent, and obedient. Where in your life are you trying to remain faithful even when it seems risky and difficult to do so? 

5. Read 1 Kings 18:17-19. What stands out as you read these verses? What does Elijah's boldness teach us about Godly confrontation? 

6. Read 1 Kings 18:20-40. What stands out as you read this passage? 

7. Why do you think God wanted to show His power in such a dramatic way? How have you seen God demonstrate his power in a dramatic way in your own life? 

8. Discuss the difference between sincerity in worship and truth in worship? Discuss how do you help someone who is very sincerely worshiping something that is just not true?

10. Read 1 Kings 18:36-37. What stands out to you about Elijah's prayer? Discuss the idols in your own life that you allow to compete with God. Where in your life do you need God to turn your heart back to Him right now?
