What Are You Doing: Life Groups

Discussion Questions:

1. Read Matthew 5:1-11 and 7:24-27 together. What correlations do you see between the sermon on the mount and the book of James? Why is it important to understand that James is basically a commentary on the sermon on the mount?

2. We are called to live out the Gospel no matter what we go through. Some practical ways we can live out the Gospel, especially during a trial, is to pray for others, pray for opportunities, listen for needs and to act on needs that we know of. Which of these areas do you struggle living out during a trial? How can you make sure you remain others centered during a trial?

3. As a church we are called to continually live out the Gospel in the middle of the trial we are currently in. Is there anything the Holy Spirit is revealing to you that you can do, or continue to do, while we’re in this season?
