Discussion Questions:

1. The subject of James 1:1-18 is trials. James is wanting to encourage and strengthen these Christians as they go through an intense trial. Read James 1:16-17 together. Trials can be seen as God's good gift. Do you see trials as Gods good gift?

2. In order to see trials as God's good gift we have to change our perspective. Does your belief about God change during a trial? How can you begin to see the good in the midst of a trial?

3. In order to see trials as God's good gift we need to accept it as a gift. It’s one thing to see a trial with purpose but the next step is to accept it as Gods will in our life. Why is it difficult to accept a trial as Gods gift? How can you begin accepting it today?
