Contentment

Discussion Questions:
1- What comes to mind when you think of contentment? Do you currently feel content? Why or why not?

2- Kaleb talked about how we live in a world that is constantly discontent. Why is this the case? Why is it so important for Christians to not look for contentment in the things of this world, but to look for contentment in Christ?

3- Read Philippians 4:11-13. What stands out in this passage of Scripture? This has been widely misunderstood in the church. This is actually about being content in the worst of circumstances. How can Paul find contentment even in prison? How can you find contentment in the worst situations that you may face?

4- How does our contentment apply to adulting well? How will lack of contentment lead to a lack of spiritual adulting?

5- Read 1 Timothy 6:6-12. What does this passage highlight about contentment? What can you take away from this passage and apply to your life as you leave tonight?

6- As you reflect on the adulting series up to this point, what are your main takeaways? In what ways has your walk with God been strengthened?

Challenge : Pray Philippians 4:13 everyday this week and commit it to memory if you haven’t already. Remind yourself that this passage is about being content in the worst of circumstances. As you go throughout this week remember to be content in Christ, not in your circumstances.
