The Armor of God

Mar 25, 2026    Pastor Kaleb Crabtree

1. Read Ephesians 6:10 together.  When you hear “be strong,” what do you naturally think that means? Discuss the difference between you trying to be strong in yourself versus you trying to be strong in the Lord?

2. Read Ephesians 6:12.  Paul says our struggle isn’t against flesh and blood. How does that change the way you view daily conflicts, temptations, or pressures that you face? Where are you tempted to treat people as the enemy instead of recognizing a deeper battle?

3. Read Ephesians 6:13–14.  Paul says to take up the whole armor. Which piece of the armor do you tend to neglect most (truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, the Word, prayer) and why? What do you notice happens in your life when that area is weak?

4. Discuss the belt of truth. How does anchoring yourself in God’s truth actually protect you from the schemes of the enemy? What are some common lies that young adults believe about their identity, success, or worth?

5. Discuss the Shield of Faith. Paul talks about “flaming darts.” What do those look like in your life right now (doubt, comparison, temptation, fear, etc.)? How have you seen faith either block those attacks? What are still some of the common struggles you have with these things?

6. Read Isaiah 59:17. Isaiah describes this as God’s own armor. What does it mean to you that God equips you with His armor, not something you have to create yourself? How does that shape your confidence in spiritual battles?

7. Read Philippians 3:14.  If victory is already secured in Christ, but we’re still called to “press on,” what does that look like practically? What’s one daily habit you could start this week to train spiritually instead of drifting?
