Living Water

Pastor Kaleb Crabtree

Discussion Questions:

1. What does the idea of Jesus getting personal in your life mean to you? In what ways have you seen Him show up personally in your own life?

2. Read John 4:1-42 together. What stands out from the passage as you read through it?

3. In the passage, what ways do you see Jesus show up personally in this Samaritan woman's life?

4. Discuss the idea of “living water” that Jesus is speaking about in this text. What does this mean and what is the importance of taking what Jesus is offering here? Why is living water so personal to this Samaritan woman and why is this same living water so personal for us also?

5. Read John 4:39-42 together. What was the Samaritan woman's response to a personal interaction with Jesus? How does her sharing her story challenge you?

6. Jesus getting personal in her life led to her getting personal in the lives of others. Have you encountered Jesus personally in your own life? If you have, how has that personal interaction led to you getting personal in the lives of those around you? What might be some steps you could take to be more intentional in how you’re living on mission?

7. Getting personal with others ultimately means relationships with other people. Go around the room and share names that you plan on “getting personal” with over the next few months. Pray together over those names and hold one another accountable about those personal interactions and relationships.
