Hallowed be Your Name

1) "Hallowed be thy name" is the first request out of the 6 petitions to God. Hallowed/sanctity means to “set apart or declare holy.” Why is it important to address God's holiness before we go into anything else?

2) Read 1 Samuel 2:2 , Psalm 22:3, Isaiah 43:15, Job 6:10. These passages talk about God's holiness. What do you notice about God's holiness as you read through these passages?

3) Below is a list of some of the names of God. Read through them as a group and discuss what this reveals about who God is.
