Lead Us Not Into Temptation
Discussion Questions:
1) Tonight we are discussing temptation (testing) what are some of the greatest areas of temptation that you see in our world today?
What are some of the greatest areas of temptation that you find in your own life?
2) As you think about some of these areas, how would they look different if you prayed intentionally for God's help with them? Do you personally find yourself praying that God would help you avoid these difficult areas of temptation in your life? Why or why not?
3) Read 1 Corinthians 10:13 together. What stands out in this passage of scripture? How does it give you confidence as you face difficult areas of testing in your life?
4) Read James 1:13-15 together. What stands out in this passage of scripture? God doesn’t tempt or test us but he does allow certain things in our life that will in some way bring him glory and produce something good in us. Is this something that you have a difficult time with? Why or why not?
5) Kaleb said that this prayer is about asking God to lead you away from temptation, but that it also is about avoiding those areas in your own life. Do you struggle to avoid areas of temptation in your life? How can we as a group help one another as we face areas of temptation in our lives?
