Discussion Questions:

1. Read 1 Timothy 4:12 together. What stands out from this passage? How does this encourage and challenge you in what God can do in and through your life while you’re young?

2. Evaluate the things Paul lists in 1 Timothy 4:12. Ask these questions: Does my speech demonstrate Jesus? Does my conduct demonstrate Jesus? Does my love demonstrate Jesus? Does my faithfulness demonstrate Jesus? Does my purity demonstrate Jesus?

3. Kaleb gave an overview of Joseph's life that we read in Genesis 37-50. You can skim through and reference the high points of his life. Spend some time discussing what challenges you from Joseph's life. Put yourself in his shoes while he’s going through all that he faces. Keep in mind that all of this happens between age 17-40. How would you have responded differently? What does all of this say about Joseph as a young man pursuing the Lord?

4. Discuss where you currently feel like you’re at in your walk with God. What are some things hindering you from being used most effectively by God during these young years of your life?

5. Look specifically at Genesis 50:15-21 together. What stands out specifically in these verses. When you think of Joseph's life and all that he went through, to say “you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.” How does this statement challenge you? Do you truly believe that God can use the evil things of others in our lives for His good? How have you seen God use things specifically in your life?

6. Talk about what you want to see God do in and through your life while you’re young. Discuss the difference that you can make in the world in your youth. End the night by praying over the impact that you would have as a group of young people in our community.
