Doing the Unthinkable

This message challenges us to step beyond our comfort zones and embrace the seemingly impossible task of reaching every person on earth with the gospel. Drawing from Moses' encounter with the burning bush in Exodus, we're reminded that God doesn't call the qualified—He qualifies the called. The central question posed is profound: what's in your heart, and what's in your hand? Moses struggled with insecurity, feeling inadequate because of his past failures and his identity as a fugitive. Yet God transformed his ordinary shepherd's staff—representing his identity, income, and influence—into an instrument of divine power. The moment Moses surrendered what was in his hand, it ceased being 'the staff of Moses' and became 'the staff of God.' This transformation illustrates a powerful truth: when we give God our resources, talents, and platforms, He uses them for His kingdom purposes. The personal testimony of a teenager in a suit visiting his friends to share the gospel demonstrates that obedience matters more than eloquence. That simple act, born from a heart of faith rather than fear, resulted in salvation 13 years later. We're challenged to replace the loud voices of our failures with faith, to stop defining ourselves by our past mistakes, and to recognize that our story isn't finished until the final chapter is written.
