When Grace Transforms Our Giving
What if the way we view abundance is fundamentally broken? This message confronts us with a powerful truth: we were never meant to hoard grace, but to allow it to flow through us. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 8, we discover the Macedonian churches who, despite severe persecution and extreme poverty, exhibited extraordinary generosity that exceeded all expectations. Their secret wasn't having more resources; it was understanding that God Himself is enough. These believers didn't give from their surplus—they gave beyond their ability, urgently pleading for the privilege of participating in kingdom work. The challenge before us is profound: have we signed over the complete deed of our lives to God, or are we practicing selective surrender, keeping our material lives separate from our spiritual devotion? When we truly grasp that Christ became poor so we could become rich in forgiveness, peace, and eternal life, generosity stops being a burden and becomes the natural overflow of grace working in our hearts. The question isn't whether we have enough to give, but whether we've allowed God's grace to transform how we see everything we possess.
