Discussion Questions:

1. As we wrap up this series tonight, what are your personal takeaways? What have you learned and how have you grown as we’ve studied this content?

2. Read 3 John together and discuss this passage. What stands out as you read through it?

3. Look specifically at 3 John 9-10. What does this portion of text say about Diotrephes? After discussing what it says about him, discuss as a group how someone like this is a hindrance from the missional work that God calls us to as believers.

4. Look specifically at 3 John 11. Discuss as a group what a life of imitating good practically looks like. Be vulnerable in answering the question, is this the way that you’re living your life. Are you imitating good?

5. Look specifically at 3 John 12. What does this verse say about Demetrius? Discuss for a few minutes around the room what you think a good testimony would look like. Then after answering that, answer around the room this question: If other believers gave a report about my life, how would they describe me? (Think in terms of different areas of spiritual discipline - faithfulness, serving, praying, giving, consistency, devotion to the word, loving people, ect.)

6. Go around the room and answer, what is one area you most want to grow in your walk with God by the end of this calendar year? Discuss as a group how you hope to help one another in those spiritual goals.

CHALLENGE - Invite someone new to The Well or someone who you haven’t seen in awhile. Also, create community next week with anyone that you may not know.
