1 Read Mathew 5:10-12 together. Why is this so significant to consider as a true believer in Christ?

2 Read Acts 7:51-60 together. (Keep in mind at how Stephen was accused of false things and using Old Testament examples in the verses before to preach the truth of the Gospel.) How was Stephen able to have joy and speak with boldness in-front of the angry Jewish leaders?

3 What promises does God give us to endure persecution and suffering?

4 When you follow Christ and become a Christian, you are not claiming His name and living a passive, lukewarm christian life where you can do what you want, but rather, you are giving up all that you once knew and trusting in Him NO MATTER THE CONSEQUENCES. By what way can we have this attitude?

5 As we wrap this series up, what have you learned about what it means to be a citizen of heaven? (Consider all of the beatitudes we have went over this summer.)
