It's Complicated

In 1 Corinthians 7 is Paul's response to the Corinthian church's questions about relationships, marriage, singleness, and divorce. Against the backdrop of a sexually confused culture — not unlike our own — Paul provides Spirit-directed guidance on sexual purity, marital intimacy, the gift of both marriage and singleness, and the seriousness with which God views divorce. The central thread running through all of it is a Lordship issue: do we truly trust Jesus with every room in the house of our lives, or do we hand Him the keys while keeping certain doors locked?
